Feiring Jernverk

Feiring Jernverk is a museum area located by the Torgunrudelva River. It was Carsten Anker who built the smelter in Feiring when he took over Eidsvold Værk. Here we can see the old blast furnace and stone walls show where the various houses have stood. The ironworks operated until 1818, after Anker went bankrupt in 1822. When Eidsvoll's history was registered, the museum area was restored.

Since 2000, the play "Men of ore, girls of iron" by Tor Kartet has been performed.
The play is performed during Jernverkshelga, which is a cultural event held the first weekend in August every year. Read more about jernverket weekend here: jernverket.info
